My occupation exists in describing the form of the figure in its element. Born in 1950, painting for paint's sake always appealed to me; the irony inherent in contrast, the outstretched hand indicating reach, the posture of despair or elation. A subject arouses my empathy and the result is one of time spent. They are composed as literate odes to the human condition filtered through the work/play of my engagement; a holocaust or celebration of my experience.
